Laugh – It’s Good for You

I love to laugh!

An added bonus is . . . it’s good for you!

Just look at all the health benefits of laughter:

  • Relaxes Your Whole Body
  • Relieves Stress
  • Works your diaphragm, abs, facial, leg and back muscles
  • Adds Joy and Enthusiasm to Your Life
  • Increases disease fighting cells
  • Strengthens Relationships
  • Lowers blood pressure
  • Improves alertness, creativity, and memory
  • Changes Perspective
  • Increases blood flow and oxygen levels
  • Improves Your Mood

Hearty laughter is a good way to jog internally without having to go outdoors. ~Norman Cousins

There is nothing in the world so irresistibly contagious as laughter and good humor. ~Charles Dickens

We were filled with laughter, and we sang for joy. And the other nations said, “What amazing things the Lord has done for them.”
Yes, the Lord has done amazing things for us! What joy! Psalm 126:2-3

Today’s Activity:

Laugh! Laugh! Laugh!

Watch a comedy. Have everyone share a funny story and dinner. Challenge your children to a funny face contest.

Look for the humor in life. Once you start looking for it, you’ll find it everywhere.

You may have seen Cats Playing Patty-Cake by Exodus First Baptist Senior High Ministry, who took an original video by HKBecky and added voice over. If you haven’t seen it take a couple of minutes to watch it now. This is one of my favorite YouTube Videos. It makes me laugh every time I watch it.

So laugh – it’s good for you!

And tell us, what makes you laugh.

I know it\’s terrific for your health. I read about this man, I forgot his name, a well known personality, whgo got sick and just watched funny movies continuously until he got well!!! What makes me laugh? A lot! In my family we have a lot of silliness and my brother is president of the nonsense department. Patsy

Hi Patsy, Thanks for visiting. I can’t remember who it was either, but I do remember hearing that story. How blessed you are to be in a family that loves to laugh. We do too! Thanks again and many blessings to you!

Hi Sally, I’m so glad you visited. Laughter is important. Rev made me laugh on our first date and is still making me laugh years later. Life is simply better when we’re laughing. Blessings to you!
