Little Wagon in the Woods

Wagon in the Woods

I wish we knew the whole story.

We know where it started and where it stands now, but so much of the middle is unknown.

We were told a farmer in East Germany made it in the late 1800’s.
After WWII, when the Russians took over East Germany
farmers received tractors, but tractors needed gas . . .

 and gas was scarce.

So, wagons returned to service.

We don’t know how or when it arrived in the U.S.

Did it travel by ship with a family?
Was it used to carry supplies or a family’s possessions?
When was it retired and declared an antique?
How did it end up in St. Louis, curb-side at an antique store?

So many questions.
A story hidden in iron and timber.

And we love it!

You and I have a story.

A beginning . . .

middle . . .

and end.

Days unknown or hard to remember that will certainly be
unknown to our children’s children’s children,
but known to God.

Like an open book, You watched me grow from conception to birth;
all the stages of my life were spread out before You, The days of my life
all prepared before I’d even lived one day. Psalm 139:16 (MSG)

And.

Surely Your goodness and unfailing love will pursue me
all the days of my life, and I will live in the house of
the Lord forever. Psalm 23:6 (NLT)

In the end, there is no end
in and with Him forever and always.

  1. It’s so wonderful knowing that our Savior knows the end from the beginning. He knows our complete story! I often wonder as I watch people what there story is, who they are, where they came from, where they are going. I’m glad I have the perfect Leader to guide me in this life.

  2. I know he’s weaving a unique story for my life – just like you did for this wagon! Oh, to open my eyes to the wonders around me that I ignore.

    1. I’m trying very hard to have a big picture outlook on my life . . . to see how God is combining my unique story with those of friends and family to make a beautiful collage. Edges touching, lives overlapping all for His plans and purposes.
