  1. I also liked the weaving of quotes and scripture. Used this with my daily devotion today for the boys before we started school. We’ve been looking at the book of James and talking about God’s wisdom versus man’s wisdom. Talked about how we are to use GW as the filter through which we discern truth. Your post was very helpful, thanks!

    1. I’m so glad Amanda! It makes me think of Proverbs 14:12 – There’s a way that seems right to a man…

We want to do it ourselves or listen to our friends, but the end of that verse says, “in the end it leads to death.” Human wisdom is foolish. Great lessons for the boys – to test everything against God’s Word. Good job Mom!

  2. I can’t tell you how much I love the book of Proverbs. Every time I read it, it seems like it was something written yesterday. I also like this quote, “Knowledge is proud that he has learn’d so much;Wisdom is humble that he knows no more.” ~ William Cowper

Humility and wisdom just seem to go hand in hand.

    1. That hit me when I was writing this post. Humility really is a partner of wisdom – a truth Jesus verified again and again. I’m a huge fan of Proverbs too. So much to learn, and if applied so helpful.
