God will give you everything you need to change your life. He gives faith and prayer that give strength in weakness and peace that passes understanding. #BibleStudy #Faith #Strength #Hope #Blessings

Every time I sit down to write, I feel overwhelmed because I want everyone who visits this space to know how God can change their lives the way He’s changed mine.

No matter how you are feeling . . . on top of the world or in the pits of despair, I want you to leave here having a sense of the overwhelming power of God’s love.

And that’s the very thing the enemy wants us to doubt, isn’t it?

It’s the first temptation . . . “Did God really say..?”

Did He really give that command? Does He really expect you to obey Him? Can you really trust His promise?

You know the questions.

They’re whispered to you when life is hard. In the quiet when…

The past haunts and hurts.
Friends betray.
Old bad habits return.
A loved one is gone.
Your heart is broken.

That’s when you and I hear the enemy ask, “Did God really say..?”

That:

“He loves you. He will never leave. You are forgiven. You belong to Him. Nothing can snatch you from His hand.”

Yes, He did! He does!

When the enemy whispers doubt we have God’s Word and Spirit. We can run to Him in prayer. We can ask, seek, and knock. We can believe His promises. We can trust His love.

God is who He says He is. He is able to do what He says. And He will always accomplish His plans and purposes.

And that’s why I want everyone to KNOW the difference faith and prayer will make in their lives and the lives of the people around them.

God will give you everything you need to change your life. He gives faith and prayer that give strength in weakness and peace that passes understanding. #BibleStudy #Faith #Strength #Hope #Blessings

Faith and Prayers

Faith…

Believes Jesus is who He says He is.

Jesus answered, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. The only way to the Father is through me. John 14:6

Shines the light of God’s love.

In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:16

Shows the hope that God gives.

Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see. Hebrews 11:1

Displays God’s ability to give strength in weakness.

But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31

Reveals God’s willingness to give the peace that passes understanding.

Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:7

Faith pours the blessings of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control from God into and through
the lives of those who know, love, and trust in Jesus.

Prayer…

Brings us closer to God.

The Lord is close to all who call on him, yes, to all who call on him in truth. Psalm 145:18

Moves the heart of God.

But while in deep distress, Manasseh sought the Lord his God and sincerely humbled himself before the God of his ancestors. And when he prayed, the Lord listened to him and was moved by his request. 2 Chronicles 33:12–13

Prayer connects believers to the heart of God.

A Prayer to Grow in Faith with a Heart of Prayer

Father, I believe You sent Jesus to suffer my punishment and save my soul. I believe He is the way, the truth, and the life. I believe Your Word and trust Your promises.

Please keep my heart and mind focused on You. When life is hard and the enemy tempts me with doubt . . . please strengthen me and give me everything I need to stand strong in faith. Please give me wisdom and fill me with Your perfect peace.

I ask that You will give me a heart full of prayer. Help me remember that You are always with me. Give me a desire to pray without ceasing . . . to thank and praise You, to talk with You about my joys and struggles and the joys and struggles of others. By Your grace, connect my heart to Yours.

Thank you! You give me everything I need through faith and prayer. I praise You. Amen.

  1. Hi Debbie. Appreciate the timely, God-inspired messages that come to my email. I’m doing my best to believe God is with me during this time as it appears that an error has occurred in my life and I get the sense that I may be off step with the Lord. I know God may not speak to all of us like He did to the Prophets in the Bible, but it seems like I need God’s strong guidance and discernment in my situation.

Thank you for the loving reminder that God is with us no matter the storm or good times we enter into in this life. Have a blessed and beautiful day!
