Day 2 of Mountain Moving Prayers is just a simple prayer that says, "Father, I'm Sorry. Please forgive me!" A Prayer based on 2 Chronicles 7:14–15 #Bible #Prayer #Faith #MountainMovingPrayers #BlessingCounter

It’s not easy is it?

I hate admitting where I’ve fallen short. I try hard to honor and obey God’s will … to love Him with my whole heart, mind, soul, and strength and love others as I love myself. But the truth is I don’t even come close.

So, would you join me today in a bold prayer of repentance…

Father, I’m Sorry – Please Forgive Me

Father, here I am again reciting the ways I’ve fallen short of Your will for me.

Too often, I say and do things You’ve forbidden and I fail to do what You command.

I don’t love the way you want me to.

And that doesn’t include my unkind thoughts and selfish attitudes.

I sometimes wonder if that might be one of the reasons I fail to come before You with child-like boldness …

But Your Word says,

If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land. My eyes will be open and my ears attentive to every prayer made in this place.  2 Chronicles 7:14–15

So, I’m here humbled before You, Lord, to tell You how very sorry I am and asking You to – PLEASE FORGIVE ME!

By the power of Your Spirit, help me do better.

Help me love like Jesus!

And one more confession, Father…

John wrote:

Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. 1 John 2:15

Oh, Father, it’s hard not to love the things of this world. They are so right in my face.

I ask Your forgiveness for this too! PLEASE FORGIVE ME!

Give me discernment to know the truth … Your truth!

Fill me with Your love because it is only through Your love that I am able to love You and others as Your Word commands.

Thank you for hearing my prayer, Father! And thank you for the gift of Your promised forgiveness.

In Jesus precious and holy name, I pray. Amen!

And AMEN!

  1. I find myself praying this prayer all too often, Deb. Luckily, God is forgiving. I believe that often, He forgives us faster than we forgive ourselves.
