How to Pray Powerful and Effective Prayers

by Alisa Nicaud @ Flourishing Today

I want to share some prayer secrets with you. When studying about prayer, God began to reveal to me several scriptures that seemed to point to powerful power. I have used these scriptures to begin to pray strategically. Rather than praying random prayers, I wanted to have intercessory prayers—prayers that had power behind them, knowing that they were working for those I was praying for. There are 4 key parts to these prayers:

Surprisingly Simple Ways to Add Prayer to Your Day

By Melanie Redd

I don’t know too many believers who feel really GREAT about their prayer lives.

It’s that thing that we all want to do more OF but never seem to get TO.

It’s that discipline that we so desire to have in our lives; however, most of us have really wimpy prayer lives.

How To Create A War Room That Works In A Busy Schedule

by Stefani Stoltzfus @ Walls of Home

I have wanted to create a war room ever since we watched the movie. But I really didn’t know where to start. What verses did they use? How can a Mom spend any amount of time locked away in a closet? And where am I supposed to put my clothes anyway?

t has taken me a long time to just sit down and tackle all those questions and come up with a solution that works for me. Now that I’ve done it, I wish I would’ve started a long time ago.

Free Printable Prayer Request Tracker

by Lynnae McCoy

“I’ll pray for you.”

They are frequently uttered words. But how often do we follow through?

Life is busy. It’s easy to promise to pray, and when we do, we have good intentions.

Remembering to pray for a specific need is a bit more challenging. That’s why it’s helpful to have a system to track prayer requests.

Does God listen to every prayer?

by Starla Jimenez

I believe God truly delights in our prayers. He loves when we seek Him and draw near to Him. He wants us to love Him and spend quality time with Him. He wants us to read the Bible and worship Him. He is delighted when we look to Him for our strength and wisdom. He wants us to confess our sins to Him so that He may bring a healing that only He can give us.

What Sorting Laundry Taught Me About Confession

by Alison Tiemeyer @ Life of Scoop

I have this thing about sorting laundry. I don’t know where it came from, or why I’ve become obsessive about washing whites with whites, darks with darks, towels with towels.

Folding and sorting laundry really gets me thinking. And this time it was something so incredibly merciful that God blew my mind away.

by Arabah Joy @ Showcasing His Glory

I admit, I have a dream. I dream of what my life would look like if I believed more of His Word. I dream of His YESes at work in my life. And I have an obligation. An obligation to know His “yes” and give verbal affirmation back to Him, to His glory.

So let’s do an experiment. Let’s see what will happen when we begin amen-ing God’s promises, shall we?

Organize Your Prayer Life

by Lyli Dunbar @ 3-D Lessons for Life

I have a terrible memory.  I forget birthdays.  I miss doctor’s appointments.  I misplace my keys.

I know that I have a mind like a sieve, so I employ several things to encourage me to remember — calendars, alarms, apps all dispel the fog in my cloudy brain.

Organizing my life helps me to function more successfully every day.

I don’t know why this truth took so long to transfer to my prayer life.
