  1. I like Oswald Chambers’ and Jim Stovall’s the best Deb. Thanks for the encouraging quotes.

    1. I love the reminder to focus on staying strong today in Jim Stovall’s quote. If I stay strong with God’s help today, He will give the the strength I need again tomorrow. Thanks Bill!

  2. That Martin Luther quote is the most powerful to me. Not only because it discerns that there are often heart and trust issues deep under the surface of our sins, but it also shows how prone we are to go our own way. The essence of sin is thinking that we know better than God.

    1. Loren, That quote really spoke to me. I have foolishly listened to the lies of Satan through the prompting of people. It is always a trust issue. His ways. His timing. His perfect love for us. Thanks and blessings!

  3. Oh Deb, I love how God can provide us messages thru others just when we need it. I wrote about our struggles with infertility this week. It was difficult to say the least, but there is so much strength that God can give us during our weaknesses. I love these quotes. Just what this girl needed to hear today! 🙂

  7. Thank you, Deb, for finding and sharing all these wonderful quotes and scriptures about strength. I’m thinking of two friends who need to read these today–one is starting chemo today and the other’s husband has been in the hospital/rehab for 7 months. I’m sending them the link to this post. I know your words, the words of others, and the words of the Lord will strengthen them and bless them, as they have blessed me. May you have a wonderful weekend!
