Refreshed and Blessed at dotmom

Sharing is caring!

I wrote this yesterday afternoon. I returned home from LifeWay’s dotmom event Saturday night physically tired but spiritually refreshed and exceptionally blessed. I made new friends with whom I talked so much I started to sound like Angie Harmon. 🙂 I wept while worshipping along with 1100 other women under the leadership of Melissa Greene. And I learned from great teachers who encouraged me as a mom as they pointed my heart toward Jesus.

All I can say is a huge – THANK YOU to LifeWay for blessing me by making it possible for me to attend this event.

Some things I learned at dotmom:

1. LifeWay Women like to have fun – This photo was taken at a LifeWay booth. We played grown-up dress up, got our picture taken and a candy bar.

2. LifeWay Women encourage one another – Being a mom is hard work. Moms are tired, stressed, and stretched in a million directions. We were reminded that we are all in this together. It’s time to stop competing and join together through affirmation and love.

3. LifeWay Women have tender hearts – Exhibitors and presenters shared stories of ways compassionate moms make a difference in the lives of women and children around the world. I love the way God inspired each of us in different ways. Human trafficking. Housing. Education. Clean water. Healing after abortion. Orphans. Child abuse. The list is endless, but not hopeless. We don’t all have to help the same ministry; we just need to help some ministry.

4. LifeWay Women love Jesus – Every speaker and singer pointed our hearts toward the God who loves us so much that He sacrificed His only son to save us. Jesus was proclaimed Lord and Savior, worthy of all of our praise and worship now and forever.

In the weeks ahead I will share more of the specifics with you. I can’t wait to introduce to some fabulous bloggers and speakers who are pouring themselves out in ministry.

Today I want to tell you how much Melissa Greene blessed our time of worship. She is a former member of the group Avalon, and she currently leads worship at GracePointe Church in Franklin, TN. Her love for Jesus is clear in every note she sings. I was blessed to be able to talk with her for just a moment, and she is the real deal. Take a moment to visit her webpage and check out her music either through Amazon or iTunes. I can’t wait to get my preordered copy of her new cd.

I pray that your week gets off to a great start, and that you are celebrating many blessings and reasons to rejoice.

May grace and peace come to you from Jesus Christ. What Jesus gives witness to can always be trusted. He was the first to rise from the dead. He rules over the kings of the earth.

Give glory and power to the One who loves us! He has set us free from our sins by pouring out his blood for us. Revelation 1:5
