Christ came at just the right time.
Not early. Not late. At just the right time.
Are you waiting on God?
Do you wonder if your circumstances are too small for God to care or act? Maybe there are too many important world affairs to oversee.
Do you feel like your cries are bouncing off the ceiling or falling on disinterested ears?
Does your heart cry out as you confess that you’re questioning His love?
In the years before Jesus birth:
- God’s prophets had been silent for 400 years.
- Rome has been in power since 63 B.C.
- The Jews have divided into factions.
- Pharisees – Legalists, who devoted themselves to the law, applying it strictly to daily life.
- Sadducees – Rationalists, who are skeptical toward religion and more political in nature.
God brought about the perfect political and religious setting for the work of His Son, Jesus. (Life Application Bible)
God never stopped loving His children.
He never stopped working the times and circumstances together for the good of His people and His glory.
He was always present. Always involved. Always hearing. Always loving.
And He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Hebrews 13:8
What to Do Until Just the Right Time
1. Trust His Love –
God showed how much he loved us by sending His one and only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through Him. 1 John 4:9
Give thanks to the God of heaven. His faithful love endures forever. Psalm 136:26
2. Trust His Presence –
I have called you back from the ends of the earth, saying, ‘You are my servant.’ For I have chosen you and will not throw you away. Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand. Isaiah 41:9–10
3. Trust His Wisdom –
Oh, how great are God’s riches and wisdom and knowledge! How impossible it is for us to understand His decisions and his ways! Romans 11:33
4. Trust His Involvement –
And all men shall [reverently] fear and be in awe; and they will declare the work of God, for they will wisely consider and acknowledge that it is His doing. Psalm 64:9 (AMP)
5. Trust His Promises –
God’s way is perfect. All the Lord’s promises prove true. He is a shield for all who look to him for protection. For who is God except the Lord? Who but our God is a solid rock? Psalm 18:30–31
Are you waiting on God?
For health? For a job? For protection? For provision? For a child? For a spouse? For _________?
Stop. Breathe in His love for you.
The Lord is good. His unfailing love continues forever, and His faithfulness continues to each generation. Psalm 100:4
His unfailing love for us is powerful; the Lord’s faithfulness endures forever. Praise the Lord! Psalm 117:2
