The Perfect Gift for All Children Everywhere

Some Children See Him

Some children see Him Lily white
The baby Jesus born this night
Some children see Him Lily white
With tresses soft and fair

Some children see Him bronzed and brown
The Lord of heav’n to Earth come down
Some children see Him bronzed and brown
With dark and heavy hair

Some children see Him almond-eyed
This Savior whom we kneel beside
Some children see Him almond-eyed
With skin of yellow hue

Some children see Him dark as they
Sweet Mary’s son to whom we pray
Some children see Him dark as they
And, ah they love him, too

The children in each diff’rent place
Will see the baby Jesus’ face
Like theirs but bright with heav’nly grace
And filled with holy light

O lay aside each earthly thing
And with thy heart as offering
Come worship now the infant king
‘Tis love that’s born tonight

One day some parents brought their little children to Jesus so He could touch and bless them. But when the disciples saw this, they scolded the parents for bothering Him. Then Jesus called for the children and said to the disciples, “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of God belongs to those who are like these children. Luke 8:15-16

The greatest gift we can give our children is taking them to Jesus “so He can touch and bless them.”
The gift you and I need more than any other is the love of Jesus received with humble child-like faith.

Father, Thank you for the gift of Jesus. Your Word says in John chapter 3, “God loved the world so much that He gave His one and only Son so that whoever believes in Him may not be lost, but have eternal life.” We are unworthy of Your love. We don’t deserve Your perfect gift. Father, we have nothing to offer You besides loving thankful hearts. We come to You like children with empty hands extended and lives offered with trust and obedience. Thank you Father for a Savior in whom we can see ourselves. One who touches and blesses. Jesus, the perfect gift for all children everywhere.
