Day 10 – God, I Need You – Please Increase My Faith
Watch the news or scroll through any social media feed and there’s plenty of evidence that bad things happen … even to “good people.”
A fact that held me in the grip of fear for far too much of my life.
But I’ve finally accepted the fact that fear is a faith issue.
So today, I’d love for you to join me as I pray…
God, I Need You – Please Increase My Faith
Father, So often, I find myself crying out, “Lord, I believe. Help me overcome my unbelief.” Mark 9:24
I believe You love me. I believe Jesus died and rose again to give me life. I believe Your Spirit is with me.
Yet sometimes I’m still afraid that some tragedy or crisis will occur and simply be too great for my broken heart to endure. I afraid You won’t answer this prayer I’ve prayed for so long.
Forgive me and help me … Please increase my faith.
Father, You have always been with me in the past, and I believe You will meet all of my needs in the future.
With Your help, I will hold Your promises close to my heart and remember…
You give power to the weak and strength to the powerless. Isaiah 40:29
You hold me by the hand and say, “Don’t be afraid. I am here to help you.” Isaiah 41:13
You will never leave me or forsake me. Deuteronomy 31:8
You supply all my needs from the glorious riches of Your grace, which You have given to me in Christ Jesus.Philippians 4:19
I can … give all my worries and cares to You, for You care about me. 1 Peter 5:7
I don’t need to be troubled or afraid because Jesus “gave the world a gift of peace of mind and heart. A peace that this world cannot possibly give.” John 14:27
I can count on You to be my … “refuge and strength, You are always ready to help me in times of trouble.” Psalm 46:1
Father, when I focus on You … I have nothing to fear!
Your grace is so completely sufficient and Your mercy never ends … I can trust Your promises because Father, “no earthly experience can ever break the bond of love by which You hold me.” (LAB note 2 Timothy 1:12)
The truth is—the closer I am to You, Father, the greater my faith. Staying in Your presence will increase my faith!
So, with Your Spirit’s help…
I will remember all the things You have carried me through in the past.
I will turn to Your Word and cling to Your promises.
I will surrender my fears to You trusting the power of Your love.
I will focus on You when fear lies to me.
I will spend time with You in prayer.
And…
I will proclaim…
I am convinced that nothing can ever separate me from God’s love. Romans 8:38
Father, that’s a promise that will increase my faith.
Thank and praise forever. Amen.
I am so blessed that you are joining me for this journey…

Definitely prayed with you today, Deb. Yes, Lord, increase my faith!
I may not be able to leave comments this coming week as we are going out of town, and I’m going to try to stay as “dark” with the tech stuff as possible. Hope you week is full of blessings!
Thank you Deb for this post…it give me hope and strenght my faith
Hester, thank you so very much for visiting and for taking the time to tell me this blessed you! God bless you!
Deb, thank you, this is a very beautiful prayer. I have been praying that God would help me to become a woman of faith. I so easily become anxious and fearful. He has been helping me as I cling to His Word and His promises.
Thank you, Monica! I think growth is a slow process. One of my favorite sayings is – Baby steps are still steps. The more we cling to Him through His Word and His promises the more we will grow! Blessings to you and I’m so glad you stopped to share your journey.
