The Benefits of Creativity
Do you enjoy a creative outlet?
If you had more time would you:
– draw
– paint
– sing
– sew
– knit
– decorate
– design
– compose
– write
– scrapbook
– bake
– play an instrument
– take more photos
Do you have someday dreams?
It’s time to drop the “someday,” and turn your dream into a reality.
Dust off your childhood “give it a try” attitude
and pick up an old hobby or try a new one.
Take a class.
Practice with friends.
The Benefits of Creativity
It relieves stress, gives satisfaction, offers relaxation, and provides balance;
which increases happiness and improves relationships.
So, what are you waiting for . . .
pull that dusty instrument out of the closet,
grab your knitting needles or paint brushes
and express yourself.
Summer is the perfect time to teach your kids your favorite hobby or
for you to learn something new together.
My mom loved to paint,
and I’m still enjoying her gift everyday.
(The paintings above are a couple of my favorites.)
I’m going to spend some time at the piano, and do a little knitting.
How about you?
Who knows, maybe your creative side is the very gift God will use
to bless others and glorify Him.
God’s gifts of grace come in many forms.
Each of you has received a gift in order to serve others.
You should use it faithfully. 1 Peter 4:10 (NIRV)
I believe we all need a creative outlet. I wish I had more time to paint. Your mom’s paintings are lovely.
Thanks Barbie, She was so talented . . . even designed and made my wedding dress. I didn’t know you enjoy painting. I am not an artist in any way, but I do love making music and knitting. I find both extremely relaxing. 🙂
