Know How God’s Amazing Grace Gives You Hope
I don’t believe it was the way I was raised … it just seemed to evolve with time.
I knew God and that my eternal salvation was secure through Jesus’ sacrifice and the gift of faith in His amazing grace…
But for some reason, I thought my here and now was influenced by God’s favor given in response to my behavior.
I had immature faith that believed God loved me more when I was “good” and less when I wasn’t.
That’s one of the reasons why I love the following quotes so much:
“Though our feelings come and go, God’s love for us does not!” ~ C. S. Lewis
“The sin underneath all our sins is to trust the lie of the serpent that we cannot trust the love and grace of Christ and must take matters into our own hands” ~ Martin Luther
It took some bumps and bruises to send me deep into the Word before I finally believed I could always count on God’s amazing grace and unfailing love!
Because of Jesus, God’s grace covers my past and yours as He forgives every faith-filled repentant heart.
Paul said…
We believe that we are all saved the same way, by the undeserved grace of the Lord Jesus.”
Acts 15:11
Pause with me to thank God for His undeserved grace. We cannot earn it but oh, how it can transform our hearts and change our behavior.
Verses and Prayers that
Thank God for His Amazing Grace
God saved you by His grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it.
Ephesians 2:8–9
Father, thank you for Jesus, amazing grace in human flesh. I know my eternal future is secure because Your Word promises that through faith in Jesus, I am a new creation who You declare yours forever.
You promise that nothing can snatch me away from You (John 10:29), and tell me I’m safe and secure in Your unfailing love. I can never sufficiently thank You but I will worship You with all my life and give You my all. I love You, Lord. Amen.
Use your whole body as an instrument to do what is right for the glory of God. Sin is no longer your master, for you no longer live under the requirements of the law. Instead, you live under the freedom of God’s grace.
Romans 6:13b–14
Father, I have struggled to understand and appreciate the freedom You have given me. Forgive me for pridefully relying on the Law’s requirements rather than obeying You in love.
Thank you for patiently teaching me Your truth. It is only when my heart and mind are set on You, fully surrendered and living for Your glory, that I can experience what it means to be truly free in Christ. By the power of Your Spirit may I always remain humble and grateful … fully alive to serve and glorify You. Amen.
So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive His mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most.
Hebrews 4:16
Father, it overwhelms me that You invite me to come to the throne room whenever I choose. It is in that holy place where I have learned to “be still and know You.” (Psalm 46:10)
Thank you for graciously and mercifully forgiving my foolish selfishness. Thank you for Jesus, who showed us Your love and taught us Your ways. Thank you for Your Spirit who understands me, loves me, and guides me according to Your plans and purposes. And thank you for faithfully giving me what I need each day. Amen.
Since it is through God’s kindness, then it is not by their good works. For, in that case, God’s grace would not be what it really is—free and undeserved.
Romans 5:6
Father, You are so very caring and compassionate, kind and good. I don’t deserve all that You have done for me. That is the blessing of Your amazing grace. It is undeserved, unconditional, and freely given.
I cannot repay You for all You’ve done and continue to do for me. You promise that I am never beyond the reach of grace and never without the need for it. In response, I thank you and offer myself to You. By Your grace, please give me the strength and power I need to live today and every day as You desire. Amen.
May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.
2 Corinthians 13:14
Lord Jesus, You are the living evidence of God’s grace. You revealed His love through Your life, death, and resurrection. And as we await Your return, thank You for the countless ways Your Spirit covers us with Your grace, mercy, and love.
Thank you for filling my life with Your love. Your amazing grace overwhelms me! Please give me everything I need to live completely trusting and following You now and forever. Amen.
As we go through the day, let’s stop and celebrate God’s amazing gift of grace and praise Him for the fact reminding us that there is nothing we can do to earn or deserve it.
He gives it simply because He loves us that much. That’s Amazing GRACE!

I loved that quote from C. S. Lewis, Deb. We are the ones that are too easily swayed by our feelings, but God is always steadfast and faithful. Thanks for blessing all of us with your offering today. Have a joyful weekend!
Thank you, Martha! I hope you are enjoying a wonderful weekend! Blessings!
Deb, Thank you for the wonderful post on God’s amazing grace. I am so grateful for Jesus and the free gift of grace He has given. I am also very grateful that God filled my heart and soul and made me aware of His presence at a very young age. Being able to speak with the Lord any time, day, night or in between (which I do continually) is such a blessing. What other friend can be so true and loving? Always loving and accepting us, no matter what, and always available!!
I am grateful for the Lord’s Grace.
Blessings to you and I pray you have a wonderful and safe weekend.
Hi, Sue! There is nothing better than living with the wonderful assurance of God’s grace. Thank you as always for your friendship and encouragement. Blessings and Hugs!!
Thank you Deb, for putting it in black and white…that God’s Amazing Grace is for all, including those who think they are no longer welcome in His kingdom because they’ve been bad and broken the rules. I was one of those people that believed that because of my behaviour, surely I wasn’t good enough and didn’t deserve our Fathers love. I’m 60 years old, and over the last 10-15 years, have been walking with our Father who is undoing all the lies that I believed, because He told me to come as I am. And now, I seriously do not know where I would be without Him in my life. Thank you Father for Your Son, thank you Jesus for what you did for us and thank you Holy Spirit for always helping me.
Thank you, JoAnne! It’s interesting to me how often it takes an event or challenge to get us to truly SEEK the Lord and discover the blessings of surrendering to God’s grace, mercy, and love through Jesus. I too am blessed to be among those whose lives have been changed by Him. I agree. I can’t imagine where I would be without Him. God be with you and bless you!
I felt so guilty before coming to this understanding of what grace meant. The beginning of your article so described my immature understanding of faith and ego driven good works. Thank you so much for your enlightening article.
Thank you, Laura! I think many of us who have grown up in the church have lived that understanding of righteousness. God’s grace is so much better … resting in His love and trusting His grace and help to direct us according to His will. Not for our glory but for Him. Thanks so much for visiting. God bless you!
