How You Can Know for Sure that Your Faith is Strong Enough
Have you ever wondered if you have enough faith?
Have you ever asked the question, “Is my faith strong enough to save me?”
If you’re like me, you have days when the Lord seems near and my faith feels strong. Then there are the other days.
Those are the days the enemy uses to tempt us to doubt our faith and, sometimes, even our salvation.
It’s on those days that we wonder if our faith is enough. The days when God’s whispers get drowned out by the world’s shouts and our own insecurities. Days when God feels distant and fear creeps in.
But Paul wrote:
People are counted as righteous, not because of their work, but because of their faith in God who forgives sinners.
Romans 4:5
Jesus saves us.
Praise God, our salvation is not a feeling. The fact is—by God’s grace alone, salvation is a gift.
The Life Application Bible Notes say:
Jesus offers us salvation as a gift because He loves us, not because we have earned it through our powerful faith.
It’s not the size of our faith that saves us. It’s not the church we go to or the good things we do. It is By God’s Grace alone. Through Faith alone. In Christ alone. According to Scripture alone. For God’s Glory alone.
An amazing exchange has taken place. Jesus took our sins upon Himself and by God’s grace, His sacrifice makes us righteous.
Paul added:
Assuring us that God will also count us as righteous if we believe in him, the one who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead. He was handed over to die because of our sins, and he was raised to life to make us right with God.
Romans 4:24–25
You and I can fully trust and have faith that Jesus sacrifice is enough to have made us “right with God.”
Just have faith . . . any doubts that your faith is not enough is straight from the enemy himself. You have the gift of a relationship with God through faith in Jesus . . . you are loved, forgiven, and you are saved!
A Prayer Praising God for Jesus,
the One Who Makes My Faith Enough
Father God, I am unworthy of Your mercy and grace and yet, You give it freely. I fail to follow Your commands and yet, You love me. And You showed Your mercy, grace, and love through the sacrifice of Jesus. Your Word says, “God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God.” (Ephesians 2:8)
By Your grace, faith is enough. Not because of me but because of Jesus.
How can I begin to thank you? Your love overwhelms me.
Your Word says You want all to come to You in faith with a humble and repentant heart. Through Jesus, I come to You once again to tell You that I need You and that I am so very sorry for my sins. Please forgive me. I give myself to You, Lord. Help me trust and obey Your will. Use me in ways that give You glory. I love you and thank you for all You have done for me. I pray all this in the name of Jesus, the One who makes my faith enough. Amen.
When doubts creep in, you and I can resist the enemy’s lies by following the words of Scripture:
Let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith.
Hebrews 12:1b–2a
We focus on the Savior . . . the One who makes our relationship with God possible.
So when you and I have doubts and we feel like our faith isn’t strong enough, we must RUN TO JESUS. He loves us and He is everything we need.
On today’s note write:
Jesus is the One who makes my faith enough!
God bless you today and give you everything you need in and through Jesus.
So wonderful to know that my salvation does not depend on myself. How hopeless that would be! Thanks for the reminder!
Amen! His grace overwhelms me. We are so very blessed! God be with you, Aileen!

Thank the Lord that having faith in Jesus will always be enough faith for us. Beautiful reminder, Deb!
We all need encouragement at times and this is always great news!
I’m so glad it blessed and encouraged you, Jean. Thanks for visiting and for saying hello. God bless you!
It is so good to know this and be reminded of it. Not by ourselves, but by faith in Jesus and even that faith is given us. So wonderful x
