 “I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid. John 14:27

 I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.” John 16:33

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6–7

Yes, the Sovereign Lord is coming in power. He will rule with a powerful arm. See, He brings His reward with Him as He comes. He will feed his flock like a shepherd. He will carry the lambs in His arms, holding them close to His heart. Isaiah 40:10–11

    “Peace when logic would expect fear and frustration” – oh, yes – God’s peace required me to un-learn being raised in fear-response. I call God’s view “opposite-day” thinking – to find peace, faith and hope when the world urges the opposite response. Wonderful encouragement to keep focused for my week! Shalom, Deb!
