How To Be Blessed With A More Positive Life
How would you like to be more positive, gracious, loving, and humble?
Okay, most people wouldn’t readily admit to wanting to be more humble . . . but positive (happier), gracious (kind), and loving (big-hearted) are things that generally lead to a more enjoyable life. And honestly, humility does that too.
So, how would you like to have a more positive life?
Did you know that there is one thing that can help you bring each of those things into your life?
GRATITUDE!
Yep. An attitude of gratitude can change your life and make it more enjoyable.
Psalm 92 was written as a song for the Sabbath. It begins with these words…
It is good to give thanks to the Lord,
to sing praises to the Most High.
It is good to proclaim Your unfailing love in the morning,
Your faithfulness in the evening. You thrill me, Lord, with all You have done for me!
Psalm 92:1–2, 4–5
I sing for joy because of what You have done.
O Lord, what great works You do!
And how deep are Your thoughts.
Just reading those words makes me smile.
Think about it—when you and I focus on our blessings. When we thankfully sing songs of praise with joy. When we’re thrilled with God’s goodness…
We naturally become happier, more gracious, and more loving. And when we remember that God is God and we are not; well, we will naturally live with greater humility, too.
I promise you that blessing counting with an attitude of gratitude makes life more fun!
I started intentionally counting my blessings over a decade ago. And although it doesn’t make the hard stuff disappear, it definitely puts it in perspective.
Try it! Start and end each day proclaiming God’s unfailing love and faithfulness. You’ll find that it’s easier to surrender your junk to God and trust Him to guide and help you through life one moment at a time.
You know, it takes humility to surrender our lives in faith and give control to the Lord. But when we do . . . He blesses us with an outpouring of His grace, mercy, and love. In fact, He gives us so much that we have enough to pour into the lives of the people around us.
And that’s a happier more positive life!
So are you ready to count your blessings with an attitude of gratitude? Are you ready to give God the thanks and praise He deserves? Are you ready to begin each day proclaiming His love and end it professing all the ways He was faithful? Are you ready to live a happier more positive life?
YAY!!
Let’s make a list and remember all the Lord has done. Let’s thank and praise Him for every big and small blessing and trust Him to give us everything we need each day.
Let’s pray…
A Prayer for an Attitude of Gratitude
to Live a More Positive Life
Heavenly Father, You are a good good God. You are gracious and loving and You always do what is best. Thank you so much for sending Jesus to save me and for making it possible for me to KNOW, TRUST, and LOVE You. Thank you for covering me with Your grace and mercy.
Thank you for my family and friends, for my home, food, and clothing. Thank you for animals, and for the beauty of Your creation. Thank you for Your loving protection. Thank you for hearing my prayers. Thank you for Your Holy Spirit. Thank you for the countless wonderful things You do for me every day. Thank you for __________.
Father, please give me a grateful heart. Help me by Your grace to focus on the positive things in my life. Help me to be consistently gracious and loving. Help me always remember that You are God and I am not. And help me to be humble in all I think, do, and say.
Thank you for showing us Your ways. Please help me live according to Your will. And with Your help, I will proclaim Your unfailing love each morning and Your faithfulness each night. In Jesus’ precious name. Amen.

Above all, I am grateful that I know that God is my Lord and Savior!! And I have Him in my heart and soul! Yes, we do have so much to be thankful for in our lives. Just being able to get up and be mobile (espceially at my age, I give thanks for this on a daily basis) is such a blessing. Deb, counting blessings is wonderful and you are right; It sure will let one know that there is more to be thankful for than we can count!! Yes indeed we have much for which to be grateful! More than anything else, I am so grateful that I know that God is my Lord and my Savior. I am grateful that I have Him in my heart and my soul.
We do have many things to be grateful for as you stated. Just being able to get up out of the bed and be mobile at my age is a “thankful blessing” I say each morning.
I am grateful for this blog, and for you my sweet and encouraging friend. And, I am grateful for the friendship that has come between Kathy and me because of this blog. I am grateful for all of the “friends in kind” that share here. God has truly been so good to me and He has always come through for me in so many “trials” in my life. Always knowing what is in my best interest and for my good. God is good and I am grateful. So many blessings I can count them all.

Good Morning Dear Friend,
Yes, I did get your note, and I can tell you it was so very appreciated. Yesterday when I replied to the blog, my computer told me it didn’t go through. So, I wrote anoter one as close to the first as I could remember. Not worded exactly. Imagine my surprise when I turned the computer back on last night ( I turn of my computer at around 4 each afternoon, but turned it back on at 9pm last night due to not being able to go to sleep) and saw that both had gone through. I also saw your sweet and thoughtful note. It warmed my heart to be thought of too. I know that you have your hands full with the situation with your father in law and the long distance y’all have to travel to take care of him. Rest assured that I will keep you and your family in my prayers. Safe travels and for good solutions that bring you peace of mind.
I have missed hearing from you, but I do understand. I value your friendship and your support as well.
I have a lot of grattitude for you. Hugs are wonderful and it is good to get those virtual hugs through this blog site. Love you bunches my sweet friend! I was glad to hear from you. I always am.
Thank you Deb for the beautiful words and prayers to help us live a positive life. As long as we have our Lord Jesus is in our lives he will help us live a humble, gracious, and loving life towards others. So long as we thank, glorify, and trust him to be his will in our lives we can live a happier and positive life.
