If Jesus said it, we can count on it. He keeps His promises and His Word is Truth now and always! When we're anxious and fearful, questioning and doubtful, we can trust Him to keep His Word.

If Jesus said it, we can count on it. He keeps His promises and His Word is Truth now and always!

Two of Jesus’ warnings were fulfilled in today’s verses.

He said that Judas would betray Him…

“But here at this table, sitting among us as a friend, is the man who will betray me.”

Luke 22:21

And he did…

Judas, the betrayer, knew this place, because Jesus had often gone there with His disciples. The leading priests and Pharisees had given Judas a contingent of Roman soldiers and Temple guards to accompany him. Now with blazing torches, lanterns, and weapons, they arrived at the olive grove.

John 18:2–3

And He told Peter he would deny Him…

Jesus answered, “Die for me? I tell you the truth, Peter—before the rooster crows tomorrow morning, you will deny three times that you even know me.

John 13:38

And he did…

But one of the household slaves of the high priest, a relative of the man whose ear Peter had cut off, asked, “Didn’t I see you out there in the olive grove with Jesus?” Again Peter denied it. And immediately a rooster crowed.

John 18:26–27

Jesus said He would die and rise again, and He did!

If Jesus said it, we can trust Him. His Word is truth!

Whether we’re anxious and fearful, questioning and doubtful, guilty and ashamed, grieved and alone, or hopeful and happy, peaceful and satisfied, grateful and glad, we can rely on the Lord to accomplish His Word in our lives.

So today, we’re looking at 5 of Jesus’ promises we can trust now and always.

Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and He will give you everything you need.

Matthew 6:33

Not everything we want, but everything we need to KNOW, LOVE, TRUST, and OBEY.

“I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die.

John 11:25–26

We don’t need to fear the future because our future is secure in Christ Jesus.

My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them away from me.

John 10:27–28

Listen to Him. Nothing can separate us from His love … now or ever.

“I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.

John 14:27

In this crazy, chaotic world, Jesus alone is our perfect peace.

I am going to prepare a place for you. When everything is ready, I will come and get you, so that you will always be with me where I am.

John 14:2b–3

Death holds no power over us when we KNOW, LOVE, and TRUST Jesus.

If Jesus said it, we can count on it. He keeps His promises and His Word is Truth now and always! When we're anxious and fearful, questioning and doubtful, we can trust Him to keep His Word.

Let’s pray…

A Prayer to Trust Jesus’ Promises
To Be the Truth Now and Always

Father God, I thank You for Jesus and pray that my gratitude may never be just words. I want my response to all His gracious love to come from the core of my being. He said that He came to testify to the truth and that all who love the truth will recognize that what He says is true. (John 18:37)

In this world filled with the enemy’s lies, we all need Jesus’ truth. His life, death, and resurrection set us free from the enemy’s power. His promises give us peace and hope. His truth gives us strength to walk with faith into the unknown future.

Please help me hold Jesus’ promises in my heart. I want to faithfully bring my burdens to Him, trusting He will be my source of rest. (Matthew 11:28) By Your grace, I will live each day anticipating His promised return. (John 14:3) And believe that through Jesus, I have everything I need. (Luke 12:31)

Thank you for our Savior, the Word made flesh. Thank you for His promises and for the Spirit who enables me to KNOW, LOVE, and TRUST Your truth now and always. In the name of my Lord, Jesus! Amen.

If Jesus said it, we can count on it. He keeps His promises and His Word is Truth now and always! When we're anxious and fearful, questioning and doubtful, we can trust Him to keep His Word.

You and I can trust the One who promises to give us everything we need … and what we need most is love, faith, forgiveness, peace, patience, joy, and hope.

I love the following quote by Michael Lawrence…

“From the opening pages of Scripture to their close, the story of God’s redemptive activity is structured by promises made and promises kept.”

David wrote…

They will tell about Your mighty deeds
and about the majesty and glory of Your reign.
For Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom.
    You rule throughout all generations.
The Lord always keeps His promises;
He is gracious in all He does.

Psalm 145:12–13

By God’s grace, we know He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. His love never fails, and His promises are the only truth upon which we can confidently stake our lives now and always.

Trust the Lord. He has never broken any of His promises. If Jesus said it, we can count on it.

We would love to pray for you.
