It’s Love Your Pet Day and Sadie’s 1st Birthday!
How’s that for planning?
Do you have a pet?
We’ve had dogs, bunnies, parakeets, guinea pigs, gerbils, and hamsters. Whew!
Dogs are definitely my favorite; so, today I’m hoping you’ll indulge me as
I share a year in the life of my pampered puppy mixed with a quote here and there.

Katie put it with Sadie’s mom and the puppies briefly so it
she brought familiar smells to her new home.
It also has a heartbeat sound.
Sadie loves it. She still sleeps with it at night
and pulls it out of her crate every morning.

What’s your favorite?
Cute! Right now we don’t have a pet, but want a cat as so as we can again. But, I do have two fish – does that count? I have them in a small pond in a pot that I made. They’re not exactly cuddly, but I do love their enthusiasm when I drop the food in their home! To celebrate today, I think I’ll give them some new water and an extra feeding! 🙂
You’re right Joan, not too cuddly but I’m sure they’ll appreciate a little pampering today just like the cuddlers. Kittens are so much fun. I’ve never had a cat, always been a dog person. Our son was very allergic to them so I guess we just never thought about getting one. Love the way they purr when they’re contented.

Sadie is super cute! We have 5 dogs, 2 cats, a Chinese Dwarf Hamster and fish. I’d love to have a rat, but that hasn’t happened yet lol
Wow Michelle, You may win the greatest number of pets award! Are your dogs big, little, or in-between. I hope everyone gets along well. I have a friend who says their kitten tried to get at their gerbils last night. Isn’t heaven going to be great . . . animals and people living in peace and harmony. Everyone get’s along fabulously! I’m a big believer in Cesar Milan’s philosophy so we have great calm submissive dogs:) We have a Lyric, lab (15 y.o.), Zoey, Jack Russel Terrier/Italian Greyhound (2 y.o.), Charlie the Basset Hound (2 y.o.) Boo the Malchi (1 y.o.) and our rescue, Kai the mutt (10 months). We tried to find Kai a home but no one wanted her which is super sad. She is the best dog ever, perfectly trained. 🙂
That is awesome Michelle. I’ve been taking Sadie to training. She is still a work in progress, but that’s probably more my fault than hers. 🙂 Sounds like you have a very busy and fun household.
Your puppy is adorable! I have a little long-haired chihuahua that I adore. And your blog looks great. When did you redo it?
Thanks so much Barbie! Gotta love the puppies. You have a pocket puppy. 😉 Sadie is only 15 lb. but she has really long legs and lots of fur so she looks bigger than she really is. She is our little princess.
