As families gather and we join together to celebrate…

I’m stopping for a moment to simply pray.

I'm celebrating Christmas with this simple prayer thanking God for the gift of Jesus, the Word made flesh. #Prayer #Christmas #MountainMovingPrayers #BlessingCounter

God, Thank You for the Gift of The Word Made Flesh

Father God, King of kings and Lord of lords.

Creator. Redeemer. Comforter. Father, Friend.

Thank you!

May I faithfully hold Your Word close to my heart
and cherish Your gift…

Jesus, the Word made flesh!

In the beginning the Word already existed.
    The Word was with God,
    and the Word was God.
He existed in the beginning with God.
God created everything through him,
and nothing was created except through Him.
The Word gave life to everything that was created,
and his life brought light to everyone.
The light shines in the darkness,
and the darkness can never extinguish it.
John 1:1–5

So the Word became human and made His home among us.
He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness.
And we have seen His glory,
the glory of the Father’s one and only Son.
John 1:14

In Christ lives all the fullness of God in a human body.
Colossians 2:9

Jesus, the Word made flesh
thank you for humbly entering our world.

Though He was God,
He did not think of equality with God
    as something to cling to.
Instead, He gave up His divine privileges;
He took the humble position of a slave
and was born as a human being.
When He appeared in human form,
He humbled himself in obedience to God
and died a criminal’s death on a cross.

Thank you for suffering my punishment.

Therefore, God elevated Him to the place of highest honor
and gave Him the name above all other names,
that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow,
in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
and every tongue declare that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.
Philippians 2:6–11

Jesus, the Word made flesh,
I join the heavenly choirs in praise.

“Glory to God in highest heaven,
and peace on earth to those with whom God is pleased.”
Luke 2:14

Jesus, the Word made flesh,
may thanks and praise fill my life.
Not just with words but with all I do.

Please help me live out my gratitude
through a surrendered heart and overwhelming love.

I love You, Lord!
Amen.
