5 Beautiful Blessings You Have Through Faith in Jesus

I’ve had several seasons of life when I worried and whined about what was lacking in my life … times when I believed that if God didn’t give me my heart’s desire, I would never be happy again.

The Lord was so patient with me. Personally, I would have grown tired of watching and listening to the self-induced misery.

But the Lord patiently pulled me close and prompted me to turn to His Word, prayer, and journaling.

He also gave me Rev, who gently spent extra time with me, listened to my heart, and encouraged me to journal it all … including my blessings.

Those two things changed my life … I began focusing more on the beautiful blessings I already had through the Lord’s promises. And as I did, I realized the countless ways God was giving me what I needed even if I wasn’t getting what I wanted.

So today, I’d like to share some of my favorite promises … beautiful blessings you and I have through faith in Jesus.

♥ You have the Blessing of God’s Peace to Guard Your Heart and Mind.

Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:7

Father God, it took me so long to realize I could experience Your peace even when life isn’t going the way I want. I am sorry that I’ve wasted precious time worrying and whining. Please forgive me.

Thank You for Your patience and for prompting me to bring my burdens to You in prayer. You are faithful and give me everything I need. You lovingly guard my heart and mind in peace when I focus on Jesus.

Your hard-to-understand peace helps me remember that You alone heal my past, watch over my present, and prepare my future. I can live with hope because You give me peace today. Amen.

♥ You have the Blessing of Strength for Life

For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.

Philippians 4:13

How many times I’ve prayed, “I can’t,” Lord. And the truth is when I try to be self-sufficient and independent … I fail. But when I surrender myself to You in faith, You give me strength to trust and obey Your will.

I know that in this life I will have “troubles” but because You, Lord Jesus, have overcome the world, I trust You to give me the strength I need. Your Spirit comforts me as I face life’s challenges and the strength to live as You desire. Amen.

♥ You have Jesus as Your Advocate with the Father.

My dear children, I am writing this to you so that you will not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate who pleads our case before the Father. He is Jesus Christ, the One who is truly righteous.

1 John 2:1

Heavenly Father, I am sorry that I fail to follow Your will as You desire. Please forgive me. I know that it is only through Jesus that I am forgiven and free. He lived Your will in perfect obedience. He suffered the punishment I deserved. He willingly gave His life to suffering and death. And He rose victoriously to give me the hope of a forever future in Your loving presence.

Through faith, Jesus speaks to You on my behalf. Your Son is my Defender. He pleads my case. He is my Savior. He is my Shepherd and my Deliverer … the Way, the Truth, and the Life Everlasting. He is the One who is righteous and who makes me righteous. I thank and praise You. Amen.

♥ You have the Promise that Nothing can Separate You from God’s Love.

No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Romans 8:39

Father, Your Word says that You are love. It’s not that You love perfectly, although You do. It’s not that You love completely and faithfully forever, although You do. The truth is that You are living love personified.

And because love is who You are … You embrace Your children in love and nothing can separate them from You. Your love protects me from the enemy and those who serve him.

Jesus won the victory that makes me fully secure in Your care. By Your grace, I have the assurance that Your love lasts forever and it never fails. I thank and praise You. Amen.

♥ You have the Beautiful Blessing of Life that Lasts Forever.

You have been born again, but not to a life that will quickly end. Your new life will last forever because it comes from the eternal, living word of God.

1 Peter 1:23

Lord, by Your mercy and grace, I have been born again to new life. You took the broken pieces of my selfish and sinful life and made me a completely new creation. You gave me a new way of looking at everything … at myself, at others, and the world.

You call me to Yourself and make it possible for me to love You with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength. Your love lasts forever and although my life here is temporary, You have promised me the beautiful blessing of knowing that as a new creation, my life with You will last eternally.

Your Word is full of Your promises … covenants that assure me that I can live each day with faith, hope, and love knowing You are with me giving me everything I need. Amen.

So, let’s hold close to the promise given to us through Paul in his letter to the Ephesians…

All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ.

Ephesians 1:3

We can trust that through Jesus we are safe and secure. Our lives will overflow with the Lord’s beautiful blessings today, tomorrow, and always.
