10 Verses To Pray That Will Bless The New Year

This is real love—not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.

1 John 4:10

Thank you, Father!  You are loving and kind; good and gracious in all You do.

Love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength.

Mark 12:30

Lord, help me know, trust, and love You with all I am . . . heart, mind, soul, and strength.

Be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.

Ephesians 4:#2

Help me forgive as generously as You have forgiven me.

I appeal to you, dear brothers and sisters, by the authority of our Lord Jesus Christ, to live in harmony with each other. Let there be no divisions in the church. Rather, be of one mind, united in thought and purpose.

1 Corinthians 11:10

Father, please heal us of all that divides us and unite us by the power of Your Spirit.

So God created human beings in His own image. In the image of God, He created them; male and female He created them.

Genesis 1:27

Father, forgive us and help us cherish every life holding it sacred as a precious gift from You.

He causes wars to end throughout the earth.
    He breaks the bow and snaps the spear;
He burns the shields with fire.
“Be still, and know that I am God!
I will be honored by every nation.
I will be honored throughout the world.”

Psalm 46:9–10

Lord, please put an end to terrorism, torture, hatred, and war.

Rejoice in our confident hope. Be patient in trouble, and keep on praying. When God’s people are in need, be ready to help them.

Romans 12:12–13a

God, please help us help those in need … the poor and hungry, the ill and hurting, the disheartened and discouraged.

But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

Galatians 5:22–23a

Lord, fill Your people with the fruit of the Spirit

So we keep on praying for you, asking our God to enable you to live a life worthy of his call. May He give you the power to accomplish all the good things your faith prompts you to do.

2 Thessalonians 1:11

Father God, give us knowledge of Your will and by the power of Your Spirit help us accomplish it.

And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose for them.

Romans 8:28

Lord, please help me let go of past problems and trust You to be with me through the days ahead.

Amen! Lord by Your grace, please bless the New Year.

As you approach the year ahead, these verses will help you surrender the past and look to the future asking God to bless the New Year. His Word promises to never leave you ... you can trust Him.

Almighty God, please grant me Your mercy and grace in answer to my prayer. Amen.

Answer my prayers, O Lord,
for your unfailing love is wonderful.
Take care of me,
for your mercy is so plentiful.

Psalm 69:16

A Prayer Asking God to Bless the New Year

Father God, thank you for being with us throughout the past year. Thank you for Your faithfulness and love. Thank you for Your Word to teach us and Your promises to uplift us.

Lord, Thank you for the people who visit this space. Thank you for the way they inspire and encourage me and one another. Thank you for making it possible for us to KNOW, TRUST, and LOVE You as a community of believers and friends.

Father, thank you for loving us so much that You gave Your Son to save us. Jesus, thank you for loving us so much that You willingly suffered and died for us. Spirit, thank you for loving us so much that You willingly live with and within us to help us LOVE You, the Triune God, with all our hearts, souls, minds, and strength.

Please forgive us and help us love and forgive one another. Unite us in Jesus and help us care for each other physically, mentally, and emotionally. By Your grace, please help us live each day full of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.

Thank you for always being with me. I need You, Lord. I love You and I give myself to You. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

As you approach the year ahead, these verses will help you surrender the past and look to the future asking God to bless the New Year. His Word promises to never leave you ... you can trust Him.

I am asking the Lord to bless the New Year for you and your family.

I invite you to let go of the frustrations and burdens of this past year and go into the new year trusting God’s promise that His grace is sufficient and that He will never leave you nor forsake you.

And I invite you to join me in making David’s words my daily prayer…

I know the Lord is always with me.
I will not be shaken, for He is right beside me.
No wonder my heart is glad, and I rejoice.
    My body rests in safety.
You will show me the way of life,
granting me the joy of Your presence
and the pleasures of living with you forever.

Psalm 16:8–9, 11

May the Lord bless you as you celebrate the arrival of the New Year and may He give you countless reasons to celebrate with joy next year.
