Powerful Verses to Help You Share Your Faith

Is it easy for you to share your faith?
I’ve known outgoing individuals for whom sharing their faith in Jesus came naturally. And I’ve known others who are more introverted and don’t know where to begin.
John wanted the world to know the Jesus he knew—the Son of God, his Lord and Savior. He wrote what he knew about Jesus to help people learn more about the love of the Word made Flesh.
I thought we’d look at some of the things John said about the Savior who loves us more than we can imagine. The One who gave everything to give us life.
Let’s look at some of those verses that can help us share our faith.
Powerful Verses from John
to Help You Share Your Faith
In the beginning the Word already existed.
The Word was with God,
and the Word was God.
He existed in the beginning with God.The Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness.
No one has ever seen God. But the unique One, who is Himself God, is near to the Father’s heart. He has revealed God to us.
John 1:1–2,14, 18
John professed that Jesus was with God before creation and that He is God who came to earth to show us God’s love.
“For this is how God loved the world: He gave His one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent His Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through Him.”
John 3:16–17
And this is how much God loves us. He wants everyone to KNOW, LOVE, and TRUST that His love is so great He gave everything to save us.
The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life. “I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd sacrifices His life for the sheep.”
“My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one can snatch them away from me, for my Father has given them to me, and He is more powerful than anyone else.”
John 10:10–11, 27–29
The enemy of our souls works overtime to bring troubles that bring doubt, to keep us from loving and trusting Jesus, but Jesus gave Himself to bless us today and eternally.
Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die.
Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.
John 11:25 & John 14:6
The truth about faith and life is that Jesus is the only source of true life. He is the source of hope, and His promises never fail.
Then the disciple who had reached the tomb first [John] also went in, and he saw and believed—for until then they still hadn’t understood the Scriptures that said Jesus must rise from the dead.
John 20:8–9
John was an eyewitness to Jesus’ death and resurrection, and I believe we can trust his testimony.
The disciples saw Jesus do many other miraculous signs in addition to the ones recorded in this book. But these are written so that you may continue to believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing in Him you will have life by the power of His name.
John 20:30–31
The disciples walked with Jesus before His death and met with Him after His miraculous resurrection. They testified to the life of Jesus, willing to die for that truth. We can trust Him, and with the help of the Spirit, we can have the power and strength to share His love with others.

Let’s pray…
A Prayer for God’s Help to Share Your Faith
Heavenly Father, thank you for Jesus and for transforming my life through Him. I want to share Your love courageously. Please make me aware of every opportunity, remove my fear, and give me the words to share my faith.
Help me remember that often the best way to tell someone about You is to share my transformation story. May I tell them how You have removed my fear and replaced it with strength, hope, and peace.
By Your grace, please help me live and express Your love faithfully. I pray that people will want to KNOW You because they see You in me. Father, please fill me with the love of my Savior, Jesus, by the power of the Spirit. Amen.

Remember…
“But when it comes to being a witness for Christ, you simply cannot fail! The only way you can fail to share Jesus effectively… is by not sharing Him at all.” ~ William Fey
Here are a few more verses to help you share your faith…
