Jesus has been given all power and authority by God Himself. He is fully God and fully man. You can trust Jesus to have what you need no matter what. #Healing #Faith #BibleStudy #Hope #CountingMyBlessings #BlessingBloggers #WWGGG

You can feel the electric anticipation in the overflowing room. Jesus is speaking God’s Word in ways that you’ve never heard it spoken before. You’re fully focused on the teacher when bits of debris begin falling on you and those around you.

In this account in Mark 2, four men carried their paralyzed friend to Jesus for healing. It’s one of my favorites because it is full of truths I want to faithfully apply to my own life.

While [Jesus] was preaching God’s word to them, four men arrived carrying a paralyzed man on a mat. They couldn’t bring him to Jesus because of the crowd, so they dug a hole through the roof above His head. Then they lowered the man on his mat, right down in front of Jesus.

Mark 2:2b–4

1. Be a compassionate and faith-filled friend willing to do whatever it takes to carry others to Jesus.

2. Be humble and be willing to let others carry you to Jesus when you need help.

3. Be open and willing to make room for others to come to Jesus.

Seeing their faith, Jesus said to the paralyzed man, “My child, your sins are forgiven.”

Mark 2:6

I will prove to you that the Son of Man has the authority on earth to forgive sins.” Then Jesus turned to the paralyzed man and said, “Stand up, pick up your mat, and go home!”

The man jumped up, grabbed his mat, and walked out through the stunned onlookers. They were all amazed and praised God, exclaiming, “We’ve never seen anything like this before!”

Mark 2:10–12

4. Jesus has the power and authority to heal completely – physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

5. When you have been touched by Jesus – praise God and proclaim what He has done for you!

Whatever you are facing today…

Jesus has the power and authority to heal you! He has what you need to be healed. Trust Jesus!

A Prayer to Trust Jesus to Be Healed

Father, I want to trust Jesus completely. Please forgive me. I’ll admit that I can become paralyzed by doubts when I’m confronted with problems that are caused by sin . . . my own or someone else’s. I need Jesus to thoroughly heal me.

Please help me have the courage and faith I need to humbly come to Jesus myself and give me eyes to see others need and compassionately bring them to Him. When I am weak . . . please, provide friends who will courageously carry me to Him in faith.

Father, I thank You for Jesus. I thank You that He has all-authority in heaven and earth . . . that He has the power to heal physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. I thank You for forgiving me and for healing me in the past.

May I faithfully proclaim . . . My heart is confident in you, O God; my heart is confident. No wonder I can sing your praises!

In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

    Hi Deb,
“Trust Jesus to have what you need to be healed” – we have to walk by ‘faith’ not by sight. Our Father in heaven does much of his work in secret. Don’t be unmoved by what’s not changing…..we have what we need to sustain us while we wait on God’s timing. Trusting Him, praising Him and giving Him thanks – He knows our hearts and our struggles. I do love to read your posts – they are thought provoking and life changing.
God bless you Deb – keep shining your “light”. Thank you!
