Verses that will Give You Peace Hope & Joy Now

Would you say that you are living with confident hope? Are you filled with peace and joy?
We talk about peace, hope, and joy at Christmas, but what about an average day in September?
Life keeps us busy and distracted. The enemy doesn’t want us to look to the only One who is our source of hope. The One who can fill us with peace and joy.
It’s nothing new. Paul wrote the following to the church in Rome…
I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in Him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Romans 15:13
We have God’s promises throughout Scripture. Promises the Spirit uses to give us what we need each day. So, let’s focus on truths that will help us pause and remember that God is who He says He is. Let’s pause and celebrate the peace, hope, and joy we have in Him.
Verses to Give You Peace, Hope, and Joy
For the Lord your God is a merciful God; He will not abandon you or destroy you or forget the solemn covenant He made with your ancestors.
Deuteronomy 4:31
Praise God! He has not given us what we deserved. He made a promise to save us and then He sent Jesus to suffer what we deserved. There is hope in knowing God keeps His promises.
God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble.
Psalm 46:1
Are you troubled? Is life a struggle? Remember the Lord is your place of safety. He will give you the strength you need when you give your burdens to Him.
“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”
Matthew 11:28
Close you eyes and picture yourself giving Jesus that burden you’re carrying. See Him taking it and carrying it for you as He walks beside you. I don’t know about you, but I just breathed a big sigh of peace. That’s rest!
God is so rich in mercy, and He loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, He gave us life when He raised Christ from the dead.
Ephesians 2:4
Are you weighed down by guilt and shame? Give that burden to God, too. He promises to forgive us when we come to Him in repentance through faith in Jesus. Give it to Him and let it go. Be set free to new life in Christ and live with joy!
God also bound Himself with an oath, so that those who received the promise could be perfectly sure that He would never change His mind. So God has given both His promise and His oath. These two things are unchangeable because it is impossible for God to lie. Therefore, we who have fled to Him for refuge can have great confidence as we hold to the hope that lies before us.
Hebrews 6:17–18
This is a wonderful verse to memorize. From beginning to end, the Word tells us that God loves us. This tells us it is impossible for Him to lie, and He doesn’t change His mind. If He said it, we can count on Him.
So, let’s live every moment of our lives with hope, filled with peace and joy. We have a future that is filled with hope through our Lord and Savior Jesus.

Let’s pray…
A Prayer to Live with Peace, Hope, and Joy
Heavenly Father, thank you for giving us Your Word to teach, encourage, and inspire us. It reveals the truth about Your love and the awesome gift of our Savior, Jesus. It reassures and encourages us with Your promises, and inspires us to live as You would have us live.
Please forgive me for allowing life’s distractions to discourage me. I am so prone to listening to the wrong voices when I neglect my moments alone with You.
By Your grace, I have experienced the peace that goes beyond understanding in hospital waiting rooms, days of uncertainty, and moments of loneliness. I’ve known the blessing of hope as I’ve held Your eternal promises in my heart. And I’ve celebrated the joy of Jesus and the countless ways He has transformed my life.
Because I have enjoyed peace, hope, and joy in Your presence, I pray that Your Spirit will call me back to quiet time with You when distractions draw me away. I pray to have what I need to memorize Your Word so I can stand against the lies of the enemy.
I love you, Lord. Thank you for not only giving me what I need but for being who I need. Please increase my faith and help me live for Your glory. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

Priscilla Shirer wrote…
“We can see hope in the midst of hopelessness. We can see peace in the midst of chaos. We have a hope that the world does not have. We can see clearly that all things work together for the good of them that love Him and are called according to His purpose.”
That’s truth! No matter how hopeless and chaotic the enemy wants us to believe things are, you and I have peace and hope in Jesus. And that’s a wonderful reason to live with joy.
So, let me leave you with one of my favorite verses…
For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!” And through Christ, our “Amen” (which means “Yes”) ascends to God for His glory.
2 Corinthians 1:20
Jesus is with you. It’s a great day to celebrate and enjoy God’s blessings of peace, hope, and joy.
We would love to pray for you.

I sent a response to your reply, and I am not sure it went through. If it didn’t, I will rewrite it and send it again. I am so sorry for what you have had to go through, and I have had you in my prayers. I had a feeling something was wrong, but didn’t know what it was.
Much Love,
Sue
