A Christmas Prayer Filled with Faith, Hope, and Love

Jesus is the reason lives can be filled with faith, hope, and love. He is the reason for our Christmas Prayer.
God graciously gave us the greatest gift ever given in the person of a tiny babe born in Bethlehem.
Through Him, He gave the gifts of mercy and grace, forgiveness and compassion, sacrifice and restoration. Through Him, we have the promise that God hears our prayers.
The Lord of all creation humbled Himself to become like us in every way; yet, He remained sinless, giving His life to restore our relationship with God and save us from the eternal consequences of our sins.
By grace through faith in Jesus, you and I are promised a forgiven past, a present full of grace, and a future of fulfilled hope.
So, after the presents have been opened and the guests have gone home, may we never stop celebrating and praising God for giving us His Son, Jesus—the gift of faith, hope, and love.
Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love.
1 Corinthians 13:13
God is love, and “His unfailing love and faithfulness came through Jesus Christ.” (John 1:17)
We give gifts to each other because God demonstrated His love through His Son, Jesus—Immanuel, God with us.
For unto us a Child is born,
Isaiah 9:6 (NKJV)
Unto us a Son is given;
And the government will be upon His shoulder.
And His name will be called
Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
I believe when Jesus said…
Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and He will give you everything you need.
Luke 12:31
He was telling us that when we purposefully pursue God’s truth with all that we are, God will fill our hearts and minds with faith, hope, and love in Jesus.
And that’s everything we need.
Paul wrote…
God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from His glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:19
So, may we always remember and hold close the truth that Jesus is…
“The Way, the Truth, and the Life!”
John 14:6
He is the One who is everything we need.

Let’s pray…
A Christmas Prayer
Heavenly Father, You are gracious and loving. Since the very first sin, the people You created have disobeyed and defied You. You could have turned away and left us alone to suffer our own consequences. But Your love is greater than our failures.
You graciously did for us what we could never do for ourselves. You gave Your Son, Jesus, to live the perfect life we could not, and suffer the punishment we deserved.
As I celebrate Jesus’ birth, please help me keep my heart and mind centered on Your wonderful and amazing gift. As we exchange presents with loved ones, help us all remember that He is the reason we celebrate.
Through Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection, I am forgiven and free. I have the perfect Counselor and hard-to-understand peace. And I can KNOW and TRUST Your loving character, our Everlasting Father.
My Christmas Prayer is one of gratitude and surrender. I love You. I thank and praise You. And I give You my all—heart, soul, mind, and strength. Please lead me according to Your will and give me everything I need to trust and obey today, tomorrow, and always.
Please bless my loved ones, and increase our love for You and one another. I pray this in the precious name of Jesus, the One whom we celebrate. Amen.

I love these words from Pastor John MacArthur…
“If we could condense all the truths of Christmas into only three words, these would be the words: ‘God with us.’ We tend to focus our attention at Christmas on the infancy of Christ. The greater truth of the holiday is His deity. More astonishing than a baby in the manger is the truth that this promised baby is the omnipotent Creator of the heavens and the earth!”
Our Creator, The Word made Flesh, came to earth to save us, and through Him, our lives can be filled forever with faith, hope, and love.
Christmas Blessings to you and those you love.

I love the prayer and I especially love the part that tells us that His love is greater than our failures! How very grateful I am for Him and His love. As I always say, Jesus is the Light of my life, the Live of my life and the Love of my life.

Merry Christmas to everyone! And a special wish of wonderful Christmas blessings to my special friend, Sue!!
Kathy, I keep you in my prayers and I hope that you and your family have a good Christmas and I also pray that you have a wonderful New Year with many blessings. You are such a special friend to me as well and you are such a dear sweet lady. I miss your replies and hearing from you, but I know that you have had a lot to deal with, and I sure do understand. Just know that you are in my prayers and my heart and thoughts. God Bless You my sweet and dear friend. It made my day for you to think about me in your post to Deb.
Oh Sue, you beautiful soul. Your words just melted my heart. I am still reading all of Debs post, but life has been a struggle and i have missed replying and staying in touch. I pray i can do better in the new year…in fact I got to ring the bell at the cancer center today!! I still have follow up every 3 months for a while, but prayfully no more chemo!! We did loose Ken’s brother, John, on Dec. 9 and he was only 64. It had been a long battle of prostrate cancer for him. But God has blessed us and been with us every step of the way and I know He will continue to be. I pray and so hope you and your hubby and family have a glorious and joyful Christmas and a safe and peaceful New Year! I give God all the glory!
Love you so much Kathy and so happy to hear that you got to “ring that bell”! So many prayers are going up for you and for your COMPLETE RECOVERY!! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to a real sweet, strong and beautiful lady!! And to your family!!
Bless you Sue! You will never know how much your kind words and your friendship means to me! You and Deb are special blessings from God into my life!! Sending Christmas love and hugs across the miles!!
Thank you, Kathy! I truly am blessed by your encouragement and friendship. I think about you so often and was excited to learn that you got to ring the bell this week for the end of your treatment. I am praying that the coming year is wonderfully blessed for you and your family.
Thank you Deb. You are correct when the Bible says HE provides us with everything we need and not always what we want. Needs are life sustaining. Wants not so much. Thanks again. Blessings to you and your family.
God’s Blessings to you and your family as well, Scott. May you enjoy a wonderful Christmas celebration and blessing-filled New Year.
HAPPY XMAS Debs, and very much love to you and all your family and friends❤️🌹❤️
Thank you more than I can say, for giving me the Lords word through you. 🙏
Thank you so much, Angie. I truly appreciate your kindness and encoutagement. God bless you and Merry Christmas!
